New York City's GHOSTWISE is the solo debut of musician/singer Kerry Kennedy. Kennedy has done time in the early 2000's LES Post-Punk scene and even made her way into the psychedelic laboratory of harmony scientist, James Jackson Toth of Wooden Wand(who co-wrote the debut single "Golden Calves"). The track rings of a mid-80's Siouxsie + the Banshees sultriness meets the spoon-bending rhythm of early Yeah Yeah Yeahs with a slightly delicate and vulnerable edge.
“With her sultry voice and otherworldly torch songs, Kerry Kennedy's
Ghostwise creates an atmosphere of dark allure that asks to be played late at night, when the shadows come out to play.
The music is spectral, with a sense of foreboding and forgiving, heightened by avant arrangements and haunting textures.
A beautiful, assured debut by one of New York's most phantasmagoric artists.”
